Union Minister for Water Resources and Development Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today called upon the doctors from Jammu and Kashmir to serve the people of state than go abroad for monetary benefits.
Soz said doctors should prove to be the best sons of soil and serve the people of the state.
“The government is spending lot of money on your training and it is your moral duty to serve the state” Soz told a gathering at the Government Medical College Jammu.
Earlier Soz inaugurated the attendants waiting hall of the emergency unit of GMC hospital in Jammu at government medical college here today.
The hall was constructed with the funds provided by Soz out of his MPLAD scheme.
Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma also stressed upon the doctors and paramedical staff to work with dedication to provide better medicare to the people of the state.
In spite of producing around 400 trained doctors annually the state healthcare system faces an acute shortage of manpower to deal with the flood of patients. / INF
