Hardline Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, has been diagnosed of a cyst in the right kidney at the Escorts Hospital in New Delhi today.
Chairman of the hardline faction of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Geelani had been removed to the hospital after complaining of severe pain, sources close to Geelani said.
Geelani's left kidney has already been removed in 2003 after he devoloped complications during his detention in the Ranchi Jail.
Doctors have referred Geelani to Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai where he his likely to be admitted tomorrow.
His left kidney was removed at the same Hosptial.
Septuagenarian Geelani has of late been the strongest voice of dissent in Indian administered Kashmir, and has rejected all formulas proposed by moderates, and Pakistan President Musharraf as possible solutions to Kashmir issue.
Geelani rejects anything short of self determination for Kashmir as a solution to the vexed issue.
